Amman, June 15 (Petra) — The Amman Chamber of Commerce has launched
the “Amman Chamber Training Academy Community” as part of efforts to
deepen partnerships with institutions and companies supporting
professional development and to promote a culture of continuous
learning and investment in human capital.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Second Vice President of the Chamber
Bahjat Hamdan said investment in people remains the most sustainable
and rewarding form of investment, noting that organizations that
prioritize training and skills development are better equipped to
adapt to changing business environments, address challenges and
enhance their competitiveness.

Hamdan said the chamber has continued to develop its training academy
into a specialized platform for knowledge transfer, capacity building
and professional development through training programs aligned with
labor market needs and rapid developments across administrative,
financial, logistics, digital, technological and regulatory sectors.

He noted that the academy delivered 100 specialized training programs
during the past year, in addition to 20 free awareness workshops
focused on business-related legislation and regulations, particularly
the national e-invoicing system.

The programs benefited approximately 2,000 participants, including
members of the chamber, representatives of government institutions
and members of local communities.

According to Hamdan, the academy has also served as a platform for
dialogue and exchange of expertise, enabling more than 3,000
participants to engage directly with decision-makers, officials and
specialists from various sectors.

He said the newly launched community represents a new phase in the
academy’s development by establishing a network of institutions that
recognize the importance of professional development, workforce
empowerment and continuous skills enhancement.

The initiative is expected to provide a structured platform for
communication with businesses and institutions, allowing the academy
to better understand training needs and develop programs that are
more closely aligned with the requirements of the business sector.

Deputy Director General of the Chamber Bashar Moqbel presented an
overview of the academy and the objectives of the new community
initiative, highlighting its strategic vision, mechanisms for
promoting investment in human capital and the benefits available to
participating companies.

The event also included recognition of organizations and companies
that recorded the highest participation rates in academy training
programs during 2025 under platinum, gold and silver partnership
categories.

Participants discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation between
the academy and the private sector, with a focus on enhancing the
effectiveness of training programs and ensuring closer alignment
between workforce development initiatives and labor market demands.

The launch ceremony was attended by First Vice President of the
Chamber Nabil Al-Khatib, Board Member Amjad Al-Sweilemeen,
representatives of public and private sector institutions, academy
partners and a number of trainees.
