Amman, June 15 (Petra) — Minister of Government Communication and
government spokesperson Mohammad Momani said, on the occasion of the
Hijri New Year, that the blessed occasion recalls the Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH)’s Hijrah (migration), a pivotal event in Islamic
history that embodied the highest values of faith, determination,
sacrifice, and patience.
In a post on X, Momani said the enduring anniversary carries profound
meanings of sincerity, steadfastness and dedication to building
societies, while reinforcing the values of brotherhood and solidarity
inspired by the lessons and principles established through the
Prophet’s migration and reflected in the course of Islamic
civilization.
Momani extended his congratulations to Jordanians and to the Arab and
Islamic nations on the occasion, praying that the new Hijri year
would be one of goodness and blessings and that Jordan, under the
leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, would continue to enjoy
security, stability, progress and prosperity.
He concluded by saying, “Wishing you a happy new year. May God return
