LTRC launches 1st phase of 17 e-services for licensing public transport means

Amman, June 17 (Petra) – Land Transport Regulatory Commission (LTRC)
on Wednesday announced launch of the first phase of its electronic
passenger transport services through its digital platform.

This initial stage provides 17 services out of the total 47 that will
be fully launched by the end of 2026.

This phase, launched under auspices of the Minister of Transport and
LTRC Chairman, Dr. Nidal Qatamin, in the presence of the
commission’s Director General, Riyad Kharabsheh, comes within the
framework of the commission’s strategic policy to achieve digital
transformation and service automation.

The step aims to streamline procedures, spare time and effort for
service recipients (operators and companies), and ensure provision of
fast and transparent services.

The first phase features launch of 17 “integrated” e-services
designed to automate the renewal of permits for various types of
transport means, which include various small public vehicles.

The move targets service, regular , transit, airport, and hotel
taxis, and travel vehicles, as well as medium and large buses
designated for secondary and main routes, bus rentals, tourist and
international transport, private-registered vehicles, school
transport, limousines, and office rental vehicles.

In addition to permit services, this phase seeks to digitize renewal
process for passenger transport licenses for companies and agencies
in the sector.

Regarding the usage mechanism, the LTRC said service recipients can
access the platform via the link (eservices.ltrc.gov.jo).

LTRC added that login process is done using the username (operator
number) and password, which can be obtained exclusively by visiting
the commission’s offices in the governorates.

Additionally, LTRC urged users to provide clear and valid documents
and maintain the confidentiality of their login credentials, using
modern browsers to ensure stability of the platform.
