Israeli Airstrikes, Phosphorus Shelling Ignite Fires in Southern Lebanon

Beirut, June 18 (Petra)– Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on
the Nabatieh al-Fawqa area in southern Lebanon, while phosphorus
shells were fired simultaneously, triggering fires across the region.

A Lebanese security source said additional airstrikes were recorded
in several areas of the Nabatieh and Bint Jbeil districts in southern
Lebanon, as well as in the Western Bekaa region.

In a statement, Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health announced that
the cumulative toll from the Israeli aggression since March 2 through
June 18 has reached 3,912 fatalities and 11,873 injuries.

The Lebanese Army also confirmed in a statement that its specialized
units continue efforts to locate and neutralize un exploded aerial
bombs left behind by Israeli bombardments.
