Amman, June 19 (Petra)– His Royal Highness Pince Faisal bin Al
Hussein, the Regent, and the Founder and Chairperson of the Board of
Generations For Peace, patronized a dinner hosted by the organization
on Thursday evening to celebrate its receipt of the inaugural Count
Jacques Rogge Award, becoming the first organization worldwide to
receive the prestigious international honor.

The event was attended by HRH Princess Zeina Al Faisal, HRH Princess
Ayah bint Faisal, and HRH Princess Sara bint Faisal, along with
ministers, senior officials, representatives of donor agencies, and
strategic partners.

In remarks delivered during the event, Prince Faisal expressed his
deep pride and appreciation for receiving the global award, praising
the dedication and outstanding efforts of the Generations For Peace
team.

He thanked attendees, partners, and supporters for their continued
commitment to the organization’s mission, emphasizing that peace is
not merely the absence of conflict but requires the sustainable
development of communities and the meaningful empowerment of young
people.

For her part, Generations For Peace Chief Executive Officer Lama
Hattab said the international recognition reflects the success of the
Jordanian Hashemite vision for youth empowerment and serves as both
an incentive and a new starting point for future achievements.

The event also featured a presentation of the organization’s new
2026–2028 strategic plan, which focuses on empowering young leaders
and building more resilient and equitable communities through three
main pillars: education for peacebuilding and conflict
transformation, community empowerment and digital resilience, and
environmental peacebuilding.

The evening concluded with a reaffirmation of Generations For Peace’s
commitment to transforming this international recognition into
sustainable impact benefiting individuals and communities at both the
local and global levels.

Prince Faisal formally received the first Count Jacques Rogge Award
during an official ceremony held in the Belgian city of Ghent. The
award recognizes the organization’s pioneering approach over nearly
two decades, particularly its use of sport as an effective tool for
peacebuilding.

Founded in Jordan, Generations For Peace has earned widespread
international recognition for its work and is currently ranked 24th
globally among the world’s top 200 non-governmental and
social-benefit organizations.
