Cairo, June 20 (Petra) – United Nations Relief and Works Agency for
Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) Media Adviser Adnan Abu Hasna said on
Saturday Jordan is “a true bulwark” against campaigns targeting the
agency and its humanitarian contributions.
Jordan is among UNRWA’s key supporters, providing tangible care for
over 2.5 million Palestinian refugees, Abu Hasna told Petra in an
interview.
He also noted His Majesty King Abdullah II’s support of the
Palestinian cause and the rights of refugees in his speeches and
international meetings.
UNRWA is still a fundamental element in the lives of the Palestinian
people as it continues healthcare and relief services to refugees
despite enormous challenges, he said.
