Amman, June 23 (Petra) – The Jordanian National Commission For Women
(JNCW) held on Tuesday its third consultative meeting on the updated
gender equality and women’s empowerment policy and implementation
plan.
The meeting gathered the technical team behind updating the policy,
the ministerial committee for women’s empowerment, and gender
empowerment unit directors from government institutions.
Participants reviewed a comprehensive presentation outlining the
results of consultations and analysis, the updated policy framework,
and its implementation plan. The discussion focused on validating
findings and preparing the document for formal approval procedures.
The session examined a glossary of terms linked to the policy and its
implementation, as well as job competency frameworks to ensure
alignment with the updated gender equality approach.
The session aligns with the Kingdom’s Public Sector Modernization
Roadmap, Economic Modernization Vision (EMV), and the National
Strategy for Women (2020–2025), advancing gender equality across
government institutions.
