Amman, June 24 (Petra) – Jordan Post Director General Hanadi Al-Tayeb
on Wednesday called for an integrated cross-border e-commerce system
among Arab countries combining supportive policies, digital and
logistics infrastructure, data exchange, capacity-building, and human
resource development.

Speaking at the third Arab Postal Leaders Forum, organized by the
Universal Postal Union in Morocco, Al-Tayeb said the Arab region has
the resources needed to become one of the world’s most dynamic
e-commerce markets.

She highlighted Jordan’s proposed Arab e-commerce corridor, which
aims to create an integrated regional framework by expanding advance
electronic data exchange, simplifying customs and operational
procedures, improving connectivity among postal networks, and
developing competitive logistics solutions for small- and
medium-sized enterprises.

Al-Tayeb said Jordan Post also established the International Academy
for E-Commerce and Logistics, a specialized training platform
covering e-commerce, logistics, digital marketing, online stores and
digital platforms. The academy has trained participants to operate
across global e-commerce platforms and markets, supported job
creation and helped women establish online shopping businesses, she
added.

Jordan Post has also developed logistics, digital, tracking and
delivery services that enable small and medium-sized enterprises to
access foreign markets more efficiently, she said.

The forum praised Jordan’s digital and e-commerce experience,
particularly the unified trade center and the international academy,
calling these “successful models” in postal, e-commerce and logistics
development.

On the sidelines of the forum, Al-Tayeb held meetings with Egyptian
and Tunisian delegations to exchange expertise in e-commerce and
postal, financial and digital services.
