Jordanian dies, wife missing in Venezuela earthquakes

Amman, June 27 (Petra) – A Jordanian national died and his wife is
missing in the earthquakes that struck Venezuela on Wednesday, the
Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs said on Saturday.

Official spokesperson, Fouad Majali, said the ministry is monitoring
the condition of Jordanians in Venezuela through the Jordanian
Embassy in Brazil, which is in coordination with Venezuelan
authorities on search efforts for the missing woman, and continues to
provide the necessary assistance and support to the family of the
deceased.

Majali assured that the remaining Jordanians in Venezuela are safe,
urging the Kingdom’s citizens there to contact the ministry or the
Jordanian Embassy in Brazil for help and to call the Jordanian
