Amman, July 9 (Petra) — Jordan’s air defense systems intercepted and
shot down eight missiles launched from Iran toward Jordanian
territory on Thursday, a military source at the Jordan Armed
Forces-Arab Army (JAF) General Command said.
The source said the interception operations resulted in the fall of
missile debris, but no casualties or property damage were reported.
The source said JAF is closely monitoring regional developments and
remains at the highest level of operational readiness to safeguard
the Kingdom’s airspace and defend its sovereignty and territorial
integrity.
The source stressed that JAF will not allow any party to violate
Jordanian airspace under any circumstances.
