Amman, July 12 (Petra) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of
Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi received a phone call
Sunday from Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy.
Safadi and Fahmy discussed efforts to end regional escalation and
achieve lasting security and stability.
Fahmy affirmed the Arab League’s full solidarity with Jordan in the
face of Iranian attacks.
The two officials also discussed ways to strengthen joint Arab action
and serve Arab causes and interests.
Safadi congratulated Fahmy on assuming his post as Arab League
secretary-general and wished him success in his new duties. He
stressed Jordan’s commitment to supporting and activating the Arab
League’s role in strengthening Arab solidarity and serving Arab
causes.
