Jordan, Kuwait FMs call for US-Iran ceasefire

Amman, July 14 (Petra) – Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and his
Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Jarrah Sabah discussed regional tensions
and efforts to de-escalate the crisis during a phone call on Tuesday.

Both ministers urged for the immediate implementation of a US-Iran
ceasefire, calling for a return to negotiations to achieve a
comprehensive solution that resolves the root causes of tension and
secures lasting stability.

They called for guaranteeing freedom of navigation in the Strait of
Hormuz in accordance with international law.

Safadi and Sabah condemned Iranian strikes targeting Jordan, Kuwait,
and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations.

They denounced the Houthi attacks on southern Saudi Arabia,
