Amman, July 14 (Petra) — Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament
Mazen Al-Qadi visited the Qatari Embassy in Amman on Tuesday to offer
condolences on the passing of the former Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad
bin Khalifa Al Thani.
Al-Qadi was received at the embassy by the Qatari Ambassador to
Jordan, Sheikh Saud bin Nasser bin Jassim Al Thani.
During the visit, Al-Qadi signed the condolence book, expressing deep
sorrow and sincere sympathies on his own behalf and on behalf of the
members of the Lower House.
Earlier, Al-Qadi sent a cable of condolences to the Speaker of the
Qatari Shura Council, Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, conveying the
sympathies of the Jordanian parliament.
In the cable, Al-Qadi praised the late Emir’s legacy of national and
humanitarian contributions, highlighting his prominent role in
Qatar’s development and his active support for Arab and Islamic
causes.
