Amman, July 16 (QNA) – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met today with UN Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy in Amman to discuss the latest political and on-the-ground developments in the Palestinian territories.
The two sides also discussed ways to strengthen coordination and cooperation between the State of Palestine and the League of Arab States, as well as preparations for upcoming Arab engagements.
The discussions focused on mobilizing Arab and international support for the Palestinian cause and addressing challenges targeting Palestinian national rights, particularly ending the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid, beginning the recovery and reconstruction phase, and securing an Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.
