Amman, July 21 (Petra) — Turnover on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE)
reached JD19.6 million Tuesday, with 5.7 million shares changing
hands through 4,958 transactions.
The general price index closed at 3,912 points, up 0.16 percent. The
industrial sector index rose 1.40 percent and the financial sector
index gained 0.18 percent, while the services sector index fell 0.80
percent.
Among the 99 companies traded, 36 posted share price gains and 25
recorded declines compared with their previous closings.
