Labor Ministry teams issue 167 citations, serve 430 warnings to Mafraq businesses

Mafraq, July 22 (Petra) — Inspection teams from the Ministry of
Labor have conducted 1,687 field visits across Mafraq Governorate
since the beginning of the year, issuing 167 citations to
non-compliant businesses and serving 430 warnings, official figures
showed on Wednesday.

Ministry of Labor spokesperson Mohammad Al-Zyoud told the Jordan News
Agency (Petra) that the Mafraq Labor Directorate has received 77
labor complaints so far this year, covering unpaid wages, employment
suspensions, overtime disputes, and leave entitlements.

Al-Zyoud said all grievances were reviewed and handled in accordance
with established legal procedures to ensure fair outcomes for both
employers and workers.

The ministry receives complaints electronically via its “Hemayeh”
(Protection) platform, where each case is evaluated before officials
reach out to both parties to attempt an amicable settlement, Al-Zyoud
noted. If a settlement cannot be reached, the necessary legal
measures are taken.
