AMMAN, July 30 (Petra) – Security forces have arrested a man after he fatally stabbed a young woman in the capital, Amman.
The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) stated that the Central Amman Police Operations Room received a report regarding the body of a woman found lying on the ground in downtown Amman.
Police and emergency personnel immediately dispatched to the scene, where preliminary examinations confirmed that the victim had sustained fatal stab wounds. Her body was subsequently transferred to the Forensic Medicine Department at Al-Bashir Hospital.
The perpetrator was apprehended at the scene alongside the murder weapon, and investigations have been initiated prior to referring the case to the judiciary for prosecution.
