Amman, July 5 (Petra) — The hot air mass affecting the Kingdom is
expected to move away on Thursday, bringing temperatures back to
seasonal levels after several days of above-average heat, according
to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

Relatively hot conditions will persist on Wednesday across most
regions, while very hot weather is forecast in the Badia, the Jordan
Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Moderate northwesterly winds are
expected to become active at times.

The Meteorological Department warned of reduced visibility due to
blowing dust in desert areas and advised the public to avoid
prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak daytime hours. It
also urged against lighting fires in forests and open areas and
cautioned against leaving children or older adults inside parked
vehicles.

A slight drop in temperatures is forecast on Thursday as the hot air
mass retreats from the Kingdom. Readings are expected to return to
their seasonal averages, with typical summer weather prevailing
across most regions. Hot conditions, however, will continue in the
Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba under moderate
northwesterly winds.

Another slight decline in temperatures is expected on Friday, with
seasonally mild weather continuing across most parts of the country.
Hot weather will persist in the Badia and the low-lying areas, while
low clouds are forecast to develop intermittently. Moderate
northwesterly winds are expected to become active at times.

Weather conditions are expected to remain largely unchanged on
Saturday, with typical summer conditions continuing across most
regions. Hot weather will persist in the Badia, the Jordan Valley,
the Dead Sea and Aqaba, accompanied by occasional low cloud cover and
moderate northwesterly winds.

Wednesday’s temperatures are forecast to reach 37 degrees Celsius in
East Amman and 34 C in West Amman. Highs are expected to reach 31 C
in the northern highlands and 33 C in the Sharah highlands, while the
plains are forecast to record 34 C.

The highest temperatures will be concentrated in Jordan’s desert and
low-elevation regions, with forecasts pointing to 42 C in the Badia,
the southern Jordan Valley and at the Dead Sea, 41 C in the northern
Jordan Valley and 43 C in Aqaba.
