Singapore, August 10 (QNA) – Gold slipped on Monday as investors took profits after prices hit a seven-week high in the previous session, while markets awaited US inflation data for fresh clues on the Federal Reserve’s interest rate outlook.
Spot goldآ was down 0.5% at $4,322.28 per ounce. Prices hit their highest since June 17 on Friday after weaker-than-expected US jobs data.
US gold futures fell 0.4% to $4,381.60.
Spot silver fell 0.2% to $63.45 per ounce, platinumآ lost 0.1% to $1,742.50 and palladiumآ slipped 1.1% to $1,362.97. (QNA)
