Amman, Aug. 16 (Petra) — Temperatures are forecast to decline
slightly on Monday before rising again on Wednesday, while moderate
summer conditions prevail across most regions during the first half
of the week, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

Mild summer weather is expected across most parts of the country on
Sunday, with hot conditions in the Badia and very hot weather in the
Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Clouds at varying altitudes
are forecast, while moderate northwesterly winds will become active
at intervals.

Temperatures will edge lower on Monday, bringing mild summer
conditions to most regions and relatively hot weather to the Badia.
The Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba will remain hot, with
moderate northwesterly winds strengthening at intervals.

Similar conditions are forecast on Tuesday, with no significant
change in temperatures. Mild summer weather will continue across most
regions, while relatively hot conditions persist in the Badia and hot
weather remains in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

A slight increase in temperatures is expected on Wednesday. Mild
summer conditions will continue across most regions despite the rise,
while the Badia will turn hot and very hot weather is forecast in the
Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Winds will remain moderate and
northwesterly.

Sunday’s temperatures are forecast to reach 34 degrees Celsius in
East Amman and 32 C in West Amman, with highs of 30 C in the northern
highlands, 31 C in the Sharah highlands and 34 C across the plains.

The highest temperatures will be recorded in the desert and low-lying
regions, reaching 37 C in the Badia, 41 C in the northern Jordan
Valley, 42 C at the Dead Sea and in Aqaba, and 43 C in the southern
Jordan Valley.
