Riyadh, August 25 (QNA) – The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) welcomed the announcement by the United States ratifying the decision to rescind the designation of the Syria from the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism.
In a statement, GCC Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi underscored that this step represents a positive development that supports efforts aimed at enhancing Syria’s security and stability, while creating conducive conditions to advance recovery and development pathways in a manner that fulfills the aspirations of the Syrian people for a future of security, stability, and prosperity.
The statement reiterated the GCC’s steadfast position in support of the Syria’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, underscoring the significance of continued international efforts and supportive measures for the Syrian leadership and people. (QNA)
