Doha, August 30 (QNA) – The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center of the Ministry of Culture won several medals at the Asian Stamp Exhibition currently held in Bandung, Indonesia, under the umbrella of the Inter-Asia Philatelic Federation (FIAP), with participation from 32 countries.
Following evaluations by an elite panel of international jurors, the center achieved outstanding results across several exhibition categories. The entry “The First Regular Stamps of Qatar” won a gold medal (G), while “The Postal History of Kuwait” received a large gold medal (LV).
The entries “The Postal History of Oman,” “The History of Aden Stamps,” and “Detained Mail During World War II (USA and Switzerland)” also received gold medals (V).
The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center is a member of both the Federation Internationale de Philatelie (FIP) and FIAP, and serves on FIAP’s Executive Committee.
The center is committed to participating in international exhibitions organized by FIP and FIAP, seeking to advance the hobby and provide opportunities for its development by facilitating all possible means for its members to pursue it. (QNA)
