CBOS Governor Launches Operations at Credit Information and Rating Agency in Khartoum

Khartoum, August 30, 2026 (SUNA) – Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan (CBOS), Amna Mirghani Hassan Al-Tom, today inaugurated operations at the headquarters of the Credit Information and Rating Agency on Al-Jomhouriya Street in Khartoum following its rehabilitation. The move is part of the Central Bank’s efforts to resume operations at its headquarters and supporting entities from Khartoum State. The Governor inspected the agency’s operations and commended the staff for their efforts and effective management under highly challenging circumstances. She directed that approved projects be implemented swiftly in coordination with the relevant directorates of the Central Bank. Meanwhile, Director-General of the Credit Information and Rating Agency, Mona Ahmed Al-Bashir, expressed her appreciation, along with the agency’s staff, to the Governor for her attention to and close follow-up of the agency’s work. The Credit Information and Rating Agency is an independent legal entity established under the Credit Information and Rating Act of 2011. It is headquartered in Khartoum State and operates under the supervision of the Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan. The agency provides credit information services, prepares credit files for customers, issues credit reports on the indebtedness of bank and financial institution customers, and conducts credit ratings, while ensuring the confidentiality of information and data and facilitating their exchange with similar foreign agencies.BH/BH
