Damascus, September 09 (QNA) – Syria has deplored the recurrent Iranian offensives against Jordan as an unacceptable violation of nations’ sovereignty and an outright act of running roughshod over the principles of international law and the UN Charter.
In a statement Wednesday, its Foreign Ministry reemphasized the importance of ceasing these assaults and reiterated its supportive position toward Jordan in all actions it pursues to protect its sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.
The Ministry called for respecting nations’ sovereignty and never meddling in their internal affairs to help deepen security and stability in the region, as well as complying with the rules and precepts that govern relations among nations. (QNA)
