Brussels, September 21 (QNA) – European stock indices opened Monday’s trading higher, supported by a decline in oil prices, amid a sense of optimism ahead of the anticipated summit between China and the United States, which will address tariffs and artificial intelligence, one of the few growth drivers available to markets.
In the major European markets, France’s CAC 40 index on the Paris Stock Exchange rose 0.58 percent, while Germany’s DAX index on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange climbed 0.74 percent.
In London, Britain’s FTSE 100 index rose 0.30 percent, while Italy’s MIB index on the Milan Stock Exchange recorded a 0.76 percent increase. (QNA)
