Israeli
Attacks Continue on Southern Lebanon

Beirut,
21 Sep 2026 (ONA) — Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon have continued,
through detonations and bombardment operations that have struck a number of
areas.

The
Lebanese National News Agency reported that the Israeli occupation army
targeted the town of Khiam with four artillery shells, while the town of Yahmar
al-Shaqif was subjected to concentrated artillery bombardment.

The
Israeli occupation army also carried out a massive detonation operation in the
town of Majdal Zoun.

Israeli
forces had conducted artillery bombardment on the outskirts of the eastern town
of Zawtar towards Mayfadoun, in conjunction with artillery bombardment that
targeted the town of Aita al-Jabal in the Bint Jbeil district of southern
Lebanon.

It
is worth noting that Lebanon and Israel signed a framework agreement last June,
mediated by the United States, stipulating security arrangements that include a
gradual deployment of the Lebanese army and the withdrawal of Israeli occupation
forces, along with measures related to reconstruction and economic recovery,
while the implementation of its provisions continues to face obstacles.
