Geneva, September 21 (QNA) – Over 5 million displaced Sudanese have returned home across 77 localities in nine states, the International Organization for Migration reported Monday.
According to the UN agency, children under 18 make up 55 percent of the returnees. Over 80 percent returned from within Sudan, mainly to Khartoum, Gezira, and Sennar states.
The conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces and Rapid Support Forces since mid-April 2023 has killed tens of thousands and displaced millions. (QNA)
