Applications Open for 2026-2027 WISE EdTech Accelerator
Doha, September 28 (QNA) – The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), a global initiative of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, has announced the opening of applications for the 2026–2027 cycle of WISE EdTech Accelerator.
In a statement on Monday, WISE invited EdTech startups from Qatar and around the world to apply for the program. Applications will remain open until October 31, with the new cohort set to begin the program in January 2027.
The program targets for-profit startups at the seed or pre-Series A funding stages. Eligible companies must have progressed beyond the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) stage and have market-ready products that have generated sales and user engagement, while demonstrating measurable educational impact.
The program offers two tracks, local and international, to support startups at different stages of regional and global expansion. It provides specialized mentorship and guidance, strategic business growth support, and networking opportunities within the education and innovation ecosystem, as well as access to a global network of investors.
The local track provides additional support to companies seeking to establish a presence in Qatar by connecting them with local ecosystem partners and available funding opportunities.
WISE Director of Innovation Aurelio Amaral said entrepreneurs in EdTech sector are developing promising solutions to address current educational challenges, noting that turning these solutions into sustainable ventures requires support that goes beyond developing a strong product.
He added that the program aims to help founders build companies capable of delivering tangible educational impact and strengthen their readiness to move to higher stages of growth.
Over the past decade, WISE EdTech Accelerator has supported more than 40 startups from 20 countries, with their solutions reaching more than 15 million beneficiaries across 130 countries worldwide. The 2025–2026 cohort comprised eight startups that achieved significant growth, reaching more than 2.9 million learners and educators while expanding their operations in Qatar and MENA region. (QNA)
