Amman, Oct. 1 (Petra) — The National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) on
Thursday launched a nationwide awareness campaign spanning more than
10 digital initiatives and targeting groups ranging from children and
older people to employees and businesses.
Launched to coincide with Cybersecurity Awareness Month in October,
the 2026 campaign is part of a long-term national effort to
strengthen awareness of cyber threats and make safer digital
practices part of everyday behavior.
The NCSC said the campaign will serve as an umbrella for its
awareness programs, combining digital content with television and
radio messaging, street displays and social media outreach.
Workshops and lectures will also be held for institutions and
different segments of society, alongside a cybersecurity podcast,
specialized competitions for producing awareness content and other
public activities.
NCSC President Mohammad Samadi said expanding cybersecurity awareness
across society is a core part of strengthening protection against
digital risks.
Awareness, he said, is a fundamental component of cybersecurity,
while building a society capable of responding effectively to digital
threats requires sustained outreach through different tools and
communication channels.
The campaign will provide tailored content for employees, women,
children, teenagers, older people and businesses, reflecting the
different online risks and challenges faced by each group.
The approach is intended to broaden responsibility for cybersecurity
beyond specialized institutions by encouraging individuals and
organizations to play an active role in protecting the national
digital environment.
The NCSC said the campaign’s longer-term objective is to integrate
cybersecurity awareness into the daily practices of individuals and
institutions while strengthening public participation in efforts to
protect Jordan’s cyberspace.
