Zarqa, Oct. 1 (Petra) — Zarqa’s commercial re-exports totaled nearly
JD 58 million last September, driven largely by the automotive
sector, according to official trade data.
Figures released by the Zarqa Chamber of Commerce and its free zone
branch show that 568 certificates of origin were issued during the
month, lifting total export value to JD 57,994,297–a significant
jump from the roughly JD 38 million recorded in September of last
year.
Chamber Chairman Hussein Shreim noted that vehicles and automotive
accessories dominated the export volume, followed by building
materials, sanitary ware, pharmaceuticals and medical supplies,
foodstuffs, apparel, jewelry, electronics, furniture, and stationery.
