Amman, Oct. 2 (Petra)– Jordanian national boxing team player Zeyad
Ishaish won the silver medal in the under-70kg category at the
Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games in Japan on Friday.
Ishaish lost to Kazakhstan’s Torkhan Sabyrkhan in the final on Friday
morning, with Sabyrkhan claiming the gold medal.
Ishaish secured the silver after reaching the final with three
consecutive victories. He defeated Palestine’s Mohammad Issa in the
round of 16, Tajikistan’s Shamsher Saidov in the quarterfinals, and
Japan’s Sewon Okazawa in the semifinals.
The silver marks Ishaish’s second medal at the Asian Games, following
the bronze medal he won at the Jakarta 2018 edition.
