Gulf Cup: UAE, Oman Coaches Seek to Win Saturday’s Match

Jeddah, October 02 (QNA) – UAE coach Zlatko Dalic said his team is determined to win tomorrow’s match against Oman in the 27th Gulf Cup semi-finals at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium.

Dalic said the UAE had prepared thoroughly and studied Oman closely, particularly its late performance against Kuwait.

He praised Oman for overturning a one-goal deficit to beat Kuwait 3-1 and reach the semi-finals.

Dalic said he was pleased with the UAE’s tournament performance and that the players were focused on Oman, describing the Gulf Cup as highly competitive and said winning the title would require sustained effort and focus.

He added that the UAE must control the match against a formidable Omani side.

Oman coach Tarik Sektioui said his players were physically and mentally ready for the semi-final.

Sektioui said Oman had overcome challenges to reach the semi-finals, strengthening its resolve to advance. He expected a difficult, evenly matched contest against the UAE.

Sektioui said Omani football had taught his players resilience and urged measured expectations for the squad’s young talents.

He acknowledged the UAE’s strength but said Oman was improving with each match and could deliver in the semi-final. (QNA)
