Sudan Strongly Condemns Houthi Militia Targeting of Taiba Electricity Distribution Station in Madinah

Khartoum, (SUNA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation strongly condemned and denounced the targeting by the Houthi militia of the Taiba electricity distribution station in the City of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, Madinah, which provides electricity services to the Prophet’s Mosque, describing it as a disgraceful act targeting a civilian object and violating the sanctity of the City of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. In a press statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government of Sudan affirmed that the attack represents a continuation of the Houthi militia’s approach of targeting Islamic holy sites and provoking the sentiments of Muslims around the world. It called on the international community to condemn such practices and work to deter them in a manner that preserves the security and safety of the Two Holy Mosques. The Government of Sudan also renewed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for its efforts to protect its security and the safety of its holy sites.BH/BH
