London, October 04 (QNA) – An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale struck the South Sandwich Islands—a British Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic— on Sunday.
The US Geological Survey reported that the earthquake’s epicenter was at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The South Sandwich Islands are an archipelago forming part of the South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands territory, which is a British Overseas Territory. (QNA)
