Minister Receives Credentials of WHO Representative, Ambassadors of Jordan, Türkiye

4 Oct 2026 (ONA) — Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, received
today the credentials of Dr. Asmus Hammerich, Representative of the World
Health Organization (WHO) to the Sultanate of Oman.
During
the meeting, Sayyid Badr wished the Representative success in performing his
duties, affirming the Sultanate of Oman’s keenness to continue cooperation with
the World Health Organization in a manner that contributes to supporting health
efforts and achieving common goals.
For
his part, Dr. Hammerich expressed his appreciation for the existing cooperation
between the Sultanate of Oman and the organization, and the support provided
for its efforts, emphasizing his aspiration to strengthen the partnership and
develop fields of joint cooperation during the coming period.
On
another front, the Foreign Minister received copies of credentials, separately,
from Zaid Abdel Karim Abu Hassan, Ambassador-designate of the Hashemite Kingdom
of Jordan to the Sultanate of Oman and Huseyin Ergani, Ambassador-designate of
the Republic of Türkiye to the Sultanate of Oman.
During
the meeting, the Foreign Minister welcomed the two ambassadors, wishing them
success in performing their duties, and for the bilateral relations between the
Sultanate of Oman and their respective countries further progress, growth and
prosperity.
The
meetings were attended by Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al Qatabi, Head of the
International Organizations Department at the Foreign Ministry, Najib Yahya Al
Balushi, Head of the Protocol Department at the Foreign Ministry, Dr. Saleh Amir
Al Kharusi, Head of the Arab Department at the Foreign Ministry, and a number
of officials from both sides.
