Amman, Oct. 4 (Petra) – A new poll revealed on Sunday “strong” public
satisfaction with Jordan’s healthcare and “high” national insurance
coverage, according to NAMA Strategic Intelligence Solutions.
The survey, conducted between July 25 and September 6 across the
Kingdom, gathered responses from a representative national sample of
5,462 Jordanians.
According to the findings, 69.6 percent of Jordanians are satisfied
with the medical services sector overall, while 67.8 percent report
having health insurance.
Among insured respondents, 57.3 percent hold government insurance,
34.9 percent hold military insurance, 7.1 percent have private
coverage, and 2 percent are insured through university programs.
Insured citizens reported especially strong approval ratings across
several key metrics:
– Quality of care: 86.8 percent satisfied.
– Affordability: 91.9 percent satisfied (46.7 percent completely
satisfied, 45.2 percent somewhat content).
– Accessibility: 79.1 percent satisfied with the swift access to
medical services.
– Wait times: 69.5 percent satisfied.
Overall, respondents lauded core elements of patient experience,
including patient privacy, clear communication from physicians, and
professional conduct by medical staff.
While satisfaction remains “high” across the board, the data
highlights appointment availability and wait times as the primary
areas for ongoing operational improvement.
