Participates in GCC Meeting on Developing Electricity, Water Systems

5 Oct 2026 (ONA) — The Sultanate of Oman participated today in the 31st meeting
of the GCC Electricity and Water Cooperation Committee, held in Manama, the
Kingdom of Bahrain.
The
delegation of the Sultanate of Oman was headed by Eng. Salim Nasser Al Aufi,
Minister of Energy and Minerals.
Jasem
Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the GCC, affirmed that the electricity
and water sectors represent a strategic priority and a fundamental pillar in
the journey of joint Gulf action, given their pivotal role in enhancing
resource sustainability, securing the needs of GCC countries, and elevating
readiness to face changes and challenges.
