Participates in 37th GCC Petroleum Cooperation Committee Meeting

5 Oct 2026 (ONA) — The Sultanate of Oman participated today in the 37th meeting
of the Petroleum Cooperation Committee of the GCC, held in the Bahraini
capital, Manama.
The
delegation of the Sultanate of Oman at the meeting was headed by Eng. Salim Nasser
Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals.
Jasem
Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the GCC, affirmed that energy security
now extends beyond production capacity to encompass ensuring the delivery and
continuity of supplies under various circumstances, explaining that GCC states
are working to diversify energy export outlets and ensure the continuity of
supply chains, therebyAlias enhancing the resilience of the Gulf energy system
and its readiness to face rapid changes.
