Amman, Oct. 6 (Petra) – Border guards intercepted a drug smuggling
attempt involving guided balloons on Tuesday along the southern
border.
Units from the Southern Command detected the balloons attempting to
cross into Jordanian territory, shot them down, and seized the
attached narcotics.
The seized drugs were handed over to relevant authorities for legal
processing.
The Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army vowed to intercept all border
threats, stressing that evolving smuggling tactics will not deter its
forces.
The operation was conducted in coordination with military
