Al-Burhan Reaffirms Commitment to Liberating Every Inch of Sudanese Territory, Praises Sacrifices of Amri Residents

Marawi, (SUNA) — President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan reaffirmed his rejection of negotiations with the rebellion and his determination to press ahead with liberating every inch of Sudanese territory desecrated by the rebel militia, praising the sacrifices made by the residents of the Amri area and their national contributions to supporting and developing Sudan. Al-Burhan made the remarks today, Tuesday, while addressing a ceremony marking the opening of Al-Karama Secondary School in Village (5) in the New Amri area of Marawi Locality. He saluted the residents of the area and praised their sacrifices and national contributions, stressing that it is the duty of the central government, the state government and the locality administration to address the challenges facing the area and provide its residents with decent living conditions, in recognition of their sacrifices and contributions in serving the nation. Al-Burhan reiterated the government’s and Armed Forces’ position rejecting negotiations with the rebellion and their determination to press ahead with liberating all Sudanese territory from the rebel militia, affirming continued efforts to achieve security and stability and safeguard Sudan’s unity. For his part, Northern State Wali Lt. Gen. Abdel-Rahman Abdel-Hamid reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to addressing the problems facing the Amri area, which have remained unresolved for years, praising the contributions of the area’s residents to the implementation of service projects. The Wali highlighted the role played by the people of Amri in supporting and backing the Battle of Dignity, affirming the state government’s commitment to addressing the area’s issues. He noted that during his visit to the agricultural project, he observed strong enthusiasm and a keen desire among residents to contribute to the success of the winter agricultural season and strengthen efforts to ensure food security for the people of Sudan. For his part, Director General of the State Ministry of Education Al-Tijani Ibrahim praised the popular efforts of the area’s residents in supporting the education sector, affirming the ministry’s commitment to providing educational services and recruiting teachers in a manner that contributes to the stability of the educational process in the area. Meanwhile, Executive Director of Marawi Locality Dafallah Mohamed Siddig said the Wali had formed a committee to follow up on the issues of the Amri area in the fields of services and the agricultural project. He noted that the committee would begin its work immediately to assess the area’s needs and work to address them. As part of his visit to the area, the Northern State Wali inaugurated a number of drinking-water wells in Villages (4) and (5). He also inspected the Amri Agricultural Project and reviewed work at the Orthopaedic Surgery Section and the Dialysis Center at Amri Hospital, affirming the state government’s commitment to providing essential and healthcare services to citizens.BH/BH
