Damascus, October 13 (QNA) – Israeli occupation forces carried out fresh incursions into southern Syria on Tuesday, searching homes in the Quneitra countryside, opening fire to prevent farmers from reaching their land in western rural Damascus, and blowing up abandoned military fortifications in the area.
Seven Israeli military vehicles advanced into an area north of Kodna in the southern Quneitra countryside, where troops searched several homes in the town.
In western rural Damascus, an Israeli military force advanced into the vineyards of Mazraat Beit Jinn and opened fire to prevent farmers from accessing their agricultural land. Israeli forces also detonated abandoned military fortifications in the area.
Meanwhile, Israeli reconnaissance aircraft flew over Wadi Al-Raqqad in the Yarmouk Basin area of western rural Daraa.
The incursions add to repeated Israeli violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement in southern Syria. Damascus continues to call on the international community to intervene to halt the incursions and compel Israel to withdraw fully from Syrian territory. (QNA)
