Omani-Saudi Business Council Discusses Ways to Boost Trade Exchange

Muscat, 13 October
2026 (ONA) — The Omani side in the Omani-Saudi Business Council (OSBC) today held a
meeting at the premises of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) in
Muscat. The meeting aimed to discuss the two countries’ agenda for economic and
commercial cooperation and to prepare for the OSBC’s upcoming joint meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The meeting
was chaired by Sheikh Ali Hamad Al Kalbani, Head of the Omani side in the Omani-Saudi
Business Council.

In a speech
at the opening of the meeting, Al Kalbani said that the current stage focuses on
defining clear priorities for cooperation between Omani and Saudi private
sector establishments, notably by studying the views and proposals of OSBC members about
measures to boost trade exchange and expand investment partnerships.

Al Kalbani added
that the upcoming meeting would help convert these proposals into practical
steps that could generate new opportunities for business owners and enhance the ability of the two countries’ private sectors to capitalize on options available in their markets.
