Amman, Oct. 13 (Petra) – HRH Prince Rashid bin El Hassan, President
of the Jordan Taekwondo Federation (JTF), welcomed the national team
delegation upon its arrival in Amman on Tuesday.
In its statement, the JTF said the reception followed the team’s
“outstanding performance and unprecedented” achievements at both the
20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, Japan, and the Paris 2026 World
Taekwondo Grand Prix.
During their participation, the federation’s athletes secured 1 gold
and 4 bronze medals at the Asian Games, in addition to 1 silver and 2
bronze medals at the Paris Grand Prix, marking the “highest medal
tally in the history of Jordanian taekwondo participation in these
two events.”
The JTF noted that these milestones underscore the “prestigious
position ” of Jordanian taekwondo on both continental and global
stages.
The medals also continue the athletes’ track “record of success,”
made possible by His Highness’s ongoing patronage and support, as
well as the “tremendous” efforts of the athletes and the technical,
administrative, and medical staff.
