University of Jordan Expands Internationally Accredited Academic Programs to 69

AMMAN, Oct. 19 (Petra) – The University of Jordan (UJ) has raised its
total number of internationally accredited academic programs to 69
after its Bachelor of Land, Water, and Environment program in the
School of Agriculture secured international accreditation from the
US-based Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).

Concurrently, the university’s King Abdullah II School of Information
Technology renewed its ABET accreditation for the Computer
Information Systems program, according to an official statement
released Monday.

The university stated that this achievement reflects its ongoing
strategy to continuously upgrade academic curricula, align
educational outcomes with international quality standards, and
enhance graduate competitiveness across domestic and global labor
markets.

The accreditation decisions followed comprehensive evaluation
processes that reviewed study plans, faculty qualifications,
laboratory infrastructure, learning outcomes, and their alignment
with recognized international academic and professional benchmarks.

With this latest milestone, the School of Agriculture now holds five
internationally accredited programs, while the King Abdullah II
School of Information Technology holds three, with field evaluation
visits scheduled for three additional IT programs in the near future.

The University of Jordan reaffirmed that broadening its portfolio of
international accreditations reinforces institutional commitments to
quality assurance, continuous improvement, sustainable academic
development, and leadership in regional higher education.
