International Beverages Consultancy Jordan explores food security solutions

Amman, Oct. 19 (Petra) — The International Beverages Consultancy
(IBC) Jordan Chief Executive Officer Akram Khreis visited the Swiss
headquarters of Bühler to review its latest engineering technologies
and solutions.

Khreis discussed the progress and timelines of current and future
projects and ways to strengthen and develop the food security system.

Khreis urged strengthening the private sector’s role in supporting
the national economy, particularly in food security, and to make use
of modern technologies in irrigation and agriculture.

He said Bühler, through its regional partnership with IBC, plays a
“central role” in supporting food security by offering advanced
solutions and technologies for grain handling, storage and milling,
which raise the efficiency of food supply chains, reduce losses and
help sustain food resources.

IBC implements and develops silo projects, grain storage facilities
and mills. It is working on developing food sector infrastructure and
boosting the capacity to store and manage grain efficiently, in
support of food security and sustainability in the region.
