Amman, Oct 19 (Petra) – The Higher Steering Committee for the
National Youth Strategy 2026–2030 on Monday approved the draft
strategy, which requires Council of Ministers final endorsement.
The strategy, passed during a meeting chaired by Youth Minister Raed
Al-Adwan, consists of five key pillars: Active Citizenship, culture
and creative arts, learning, future-readiness, and economic
empowerment, health and well-being, and sports and physical activity.
The strategy’s executive program encompasses 20 primary programs,
including 101 specific projects and interventions, developed in
collaboration with 25 partner entities.
During the meeting, a presentation outlined the strategy’s key areas,
priorities, focus areas, and target demographics, as well as the
proposed programs, projects, and the mechanisms for governance,
implementation, and monitoring.
Al-Adwan said the strategy is a unified national framework for
working with and for youth. It aligns with the Royal Vision and
national modernization pathways, while fostering synergy among
government institutions and partners to invest in the energy and
potential of young people, and to expand their opportunities for
participation across various sectors, he added.
The meeting was attended by Ministry of Youth officials, committee
members, including secretaries-general from various ministries,
representatives from youth organizations, the Jordan Armed Forces,
the Public Security Directorate, and experts in the field of youth
work.
