Tabletop Exercises for Watan 2026 Launch

Doha, October 25 (QNA) – The tabletop exercises for the sixth edition of Watan 2026 exercise commenced on Sunday, with the participation of all military and civilian entities in the country, aimed at bolstering national readiness, ensuring the integration of roles and responsibilities, and enhancing the efficiency of coordination and response when dealing with various incidents, crises, and emergencies.

The exercises involve discussing hypothetical scenarios simulating potential risks, as well as testing operational plans, procedures, and command, control, and communication mechanisms to improve response speed and the efficiency with which joint tasks are executed.

These tabletop exercises serve as a precursor to field operations, allowing participating entities to review plans, refine procedures, and leverage insights and lessons learned from previous editions to strengthen the national security and public safety framework. (QNA)
