Riyadh, March 16, 2023, SPA — Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi met in Nouakchott today with Turkish Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director of European Union Affairs Mehmet Kemal Bozay on the sidelines of the 49th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The GCC Secretary General affirmed the sympathy of the GCC countries with the victims of the earthquakes that struck southern Turkiye and northern Syria, and their standing with them in fulfillment of the directives of the leaders of the GCC countries, to provide all aspects of support and urgent relief assistance.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed topics listed on the conference agenda and the means to strengthen GCC-Turkish relations through strategic dialogue between the two sides in a way that contributes to serving common interests.
