IESE Business School University of Navarra delegation visits Dubai Police

DUBAI, 20th January, 2023 (WAM) — A delegation from the IESE Business School University of Navarra, one of the top 10 business schools in the world, has recently visited the Dubai Police General Command to review the force’s latest systems in managing people, operations and services.

Prof Major-General Ghaith Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Academic and Training Affairs, welcomed Prof Morris Las Hera and the accompanying delegation of 44 postgraduates from 32 nationalities.

Al Suwaidi accompanied the delegation to the Command and Control Centre at the General Department of Operations in Dubai Police, where they were briefed about the working mechanism and the latest services and initiatives that enhance the emirate’s security and safety. They were also introduced to the centre’s equipment and latest additions, such as the 3D map that covers Dubai and the patrols dispatching system to ensure swift and efficient response to reports and emergency calls.

The delegation also met with the directors of the Dubai Police’s Councils: the Scientists Council, Students Council, Innovation Council, Women Police Council, Happiness and Positivity Council, Scholarships Student Council, Youth Leaders Council, People of Determination Empowerming Council, College and University Students Council, and Sports Council.

They were briefed on the prominent efforts exerted by councils in achieving the strategic objectives of the Dubai Police strategic plan.

The delegation also visited the Smart Police Station SPS at the Main HQ and was introduced to the services provided by the station to the customers 24/7 in seven languages. The SPS offers 45 services, such as reporting crimes and traffic incidents, obtaining a good-conduct certificate, and other community-based services.

Towards the end of the visit, the delegation commended the latest technologies and management methods applied by Dubai Police to ensure the highest levels of safety and security, public order, and streamlined operations.
