Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council Meeting Held This Year with Relations at Their Peak: Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister

Jeddah, May 25, 2023, SPA — Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning Mohammad Ali Tamim affirmed the importance of the convening of the fifth session of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council meeting, especially amid the challenges facing the world and the region.
“The council’s meeting is being held this year with the relations between the brotherly countries at their peak,” Minister Tamim, the chair of the Iraqi side at the meeting, said today.
He added that the council, which was established six years ago, has launched in the economic, political, and investment fields in agriculture, industry, petrochemicals, energy, and renewable energy.
The minister said he looks forward to the council establishing a model of true partnership to be followed by the countries of the region in order to tackle challenges facing the region, especially Arab countries.
The shared interests and unified visions between Saudi Arabia and Iraq will yield positive outcome for the two countries, Tamim added.
